About Us
Elina Koytcheva is the founder of Cadillac Music.
She was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, into a family of doctors.
At the age of 6, she asked her parents for a violin which determined the course of her life.
At 10, she became a full-time student at the Music School in Sofia with violin as main subject. As a student, she toured to Italy, France, Brazil, Mexico, Greece, Spain and Holland as a member of the renowned Bulgarian Youth Philharmonic Orchestra “Pioneer“.
After graduating from the Music Academy “Pancho Vladiguerov“ in Sofia she was accepted to Rotterdams Conservatorium in the Netherlands, where she graduated in 1999 in the violin class of Prof. Natasha Morozova.
In Holland she has been part of productions such as “Bernstein on Stage”, “Phantom of the Opera”, “Evita”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “West Side Story”.
She regularly performed with Metropole Orkest – Dutch one-and-only Jazz and Pop orchestra, backing artists such as Oleta Adams, Al Jarreau, Gino Vinelli, Steve Vai, Herbie Hancock, Tim Ries and others.
In 2005 Elina moved to sunny South Africa and settled in Cape Town. Here she has been part of George Benson’s String section at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, as well as the productions of Il Divo, Katherine Jenkins, Richard Clayderman, Josh Groban , Maher Zain, Whitney Houston tribute and others.
In CT she performs with various groups and ensembles out of which Cadillac Music was born in 2012.
Elina is personally involved to ensure the highest standard of quality provided by Cadillac Music and its musicians.
